The Orion-Tr Smart 12/12-50A non-isolated Smart BuckBoost charger redefines adaptive DC-DC charging in dual battery systems charged by a (smart) alternator. This device not only provides top performance, but also ensures the safety of your system. Innovative aluminum PCB cooling technology provides 98% efficiency without the need for fans, allowing the Smart BuckBoost to run at full power up to 40°C. As an integral part of your Victron system, the Smart BuckBoost offers full monitoring and control of your device.

Configurable charging
Easily and precisely set the input and output current, which helps protect the alternator from overload and properly charge the service battery, especially in the case of smart alternators.
Parallel connection to increase output current
Unlimited number of Smart BuckBoost devices can be connected in parallel. Easily adjust the output current to meet your system requirements.
Smart Alternator Compatibility
With built-in engine shutdown detection, Smart BuckBoost ensures that the charger only draws power when the engine is running. It also helps to obtain the correct charging current from the smart alternators found in Euro 5 and Euro 6 engines.
Adaptive Charging Algorithm
Smart BuckBoost features customizable charging algorithms and 8 preset battery modes. For lead-acid batteries, these settings ensure optimal absorption times for both shallow and deep discharge.
Complete Electronic Protection
Smart BuckBoost is equipped with comprehensive electronic protection against overload, short circuit and excessive temperatures. It will automatically reduce output power when the product reaches its maximum temperature.
Low Temperature Shutdown and Undervoltage Protection
To prevent damage to lithium batteries, the charger automatically shuts down at low temperatures and when the input voltage drops below a user-adjustable value, protecting the starter battery from deep discharge.
Dust and Water Resistant
The Smart BuckBoost is designed to withstand dust and water contamination and has an IP65 rating.
