The UT685B KIT cable tester is a handheld TDR cable tester, a versatile tool for fault location and carrying out quick tests on cable assembly and crimping (CAT 5, CAT 6, UTP, FTP and SSTP with PoE detection). It is used to detect and diagnose the condition of twisted-pair cabling, identify network services, detect short circuits/open circuits in network cabling, pair separation, incorrect wiring, etc. It can also be used to determine whether there is a PoE supply (PoE module) in the network cabling, and to identify the PoE standard (802.3AF, 802.3AT, 802.3BT). The screen can simultaneously display a wire map, cable length, the location of a break in the circuit and other information. The cable tester is characterised by its accuracy, ease of use and clear display, making it the ideal tool for network maintenance.
