Product description
M3056 AC Current Monitoring Relay (Normally Closed (NC) contact, adjustable 0.2–30 A)
Are you looking for a reliable, accurate and fully autonomous solution for monitoring alternating current? The M3056 current detection relay with a normally closed (NC) contact has been specifically designed for the effective protection of electrical installations, monitoring of machinery operation and the automation of both industrial and domestic systems.
This device operates on the principle of contactless inductive sensing. It uses an internal transformer for measurement, so the phase conductor being monitored simply needs to be threaded through a 10 mm diameter hole in the device’s housing. There is no need for any complicated series wiring or for cutting the power cable. A major advantage is that the device does not require an external power supply, as it is powered inductively directly from the current passing through the receiver.
Principle of operation: Using a precision multi-turn potentiometer, you can easily set the required current threshold (within the range of 0.2 to 30 A AC).
Overcurrent: As soon as the current flowing through the circuit exceeds the limit you have set, the output contacts K1–K2 open immediately (normally closed (NC) contact logic).
Current drop: If the current value falls below the set limit, contacts K1–K2 return to their original state and remain closed.
Key advantages of the M3056 current relay: -Fully autonomous operation: Operates without any auxiliary power supply – saving space in the control cabinet and simplifying cabling.
-High accuracy and speed: With a measurement accuracy of 1% and a lightning-fast response time of up to 200 ms, it can react immediately to critical conditions.
-Safe inductive sensing: Galvanic isolation of the measured circuit from the switching contact ensures maximum safety. -High overload resistance: The relay can withstand short-term maximum overloads of up to 100 per cent.
-Low hysteresis: Highly stable switching thanks to low hysteresis (? 2 per cent), which prevents unwanted contact oscillation at values close to the set limit. Technical specifications:
-Model: M3056
-Output type: Normally Closed (NC) contact, terminals K1–K2 -AC input current range: 0.2 to 30 A AC -Threshold adjustment: Multi-turn potentiometer
-Power supply: No external power supply (inductively from the measured conductor) -Rated contact load: ? 0.3 A at 240 V AC/DC Contact resistance (K1–K2): 4 ohms.
-Leakage current: ? 0.1 A -Measurement accuracy: 1 % -Hysteresis: ? 2 % -Response time: ? 200 ms -Conductor hole diameter: 10 mm
-Protection rating: IP30 -Operating temperature: -20 °C to +60 ? -Dimensions: 65 × 25 × 47 mm
Provide your electrical installations and machinery with professional, autonomous monitoring. With the M3056 current detection relay, you gain an accurate and reliable guardian against overloads that requires not a single watt of external power to operate.
