The UT 387S is a wall scanner that can detect ferrous and non-ferrous metals, electrical cables and wooden parts hidden in walls, ceilings, floors and under plasterboard. Additional functions include a laser for convenient distance measurement and a wood moisture detector. The device contains a large display with a diagonal of 2.4 ", on which the icons of found objects are displayed: wooden object, small metal object (nails), large metal material (steel construction), small non-magnetic metal (cable, wire), small amount of metal objects (cables, nails) Indicates the depth of storage of objects and the presence of AC voltage (electromagnetic field) The best accuracy of searching for electrical wires is achieved when live wires are connected to the appliance and the appliance is switched on.

The laser rangefinder allows you to measure distances up to approx. 20 m and with an additional reflecting surface (reflector) up to 40 m with automated calculation of rectangular areas and rectangular volumes. He can also calculate the height of objects according to the Phytagorean theorem by measuring one perpendicular and a hypotenuse. It also allows the following modes: single measurement, addition and subtraction of measured values, continuous measurement of distances, areas, volumes, heights in a right triangle, conversion of units of measurement. It allows you to store 30 groups of data and retrieve historical data from memory. Voice announcements, buzzer, silent mode.

The built-in moisture detector of wood and similar building materials measures humidity at a depth of up to approx. 8 mm and in the range of 6% to 40% when the probe is inserted into the material.

Power is provided by a built-in lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 300mAh, which is charged via USB-C. Automatic calibration.
