USE Butyl sealant can be used to seal joints with low movements, where there is high weather resistance and permanent plastic behavior is expected. For example, metal roof seals, sealing of overlapping joints between metal panels with the incorporation of fasteners, window seals, roof and gutter repairs and renovations, greenhouse seals. Can be used for airtight gluing and sealing of various membranes.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE Application temperature between +5 ° C and +40 ° C.
Surface preparation: Surfaces must be cleaned of dust, loose particles and oil. Non-porous surfaces should be cleaned with a solvent and a clean, breathable cotton cloth. Residual solvent should be removed with a clean cloth before evaporation.
Method of use: 310 ml cartridge: Cut off the threaded end of the cartridge and screw on the application nozzle for the overhead sealant. Cut the threaded end to make a suitable hole for the application. Insert the cartridge with the applicator into the gun and fill the installation nozzle with sealant by repeatedly pressing the gun trigger.
Cleaning: Uncured sealant, tools and hands can be cleaned with PENOSIL Premium Cleaning Wipes. The cured sealant can be removed mechanically using a silicone sealant softener. Clean surface with sponge and water.
