Description
The VOLT A80 6V/12V/24V 15000mAh battery charger is the first battery charger on the market with a microprocessor control system in PWM technology with the option of charging batteries up to 24V and the option of choosing non-standard battery voltage types. Thanks to the intelligent setting of the parameters, it enables the regeneration of a discharged battery.
Properties:
- Automatic charger designed for charging 6V and 12V lead VRLA car batteries (AGM and GEL)
- Continuous system test and charge switching in 4 modes (constant voltage; constant current; trickle charge modulation; floating charge modulation) regenerating the battery
- Multi-stage battery protection through the use of an advanced microcomputer control system
- Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology that automatically charges the battery in a 4-step charging cycle
- Charging current: 0-15A
- Input voltage: 150VAC-250VAC
- Output voltage: 6V/8V/12V/14V/16V/24V
- Maximum output power: 250W
- Output voltage frequency: 50/60Hz
- Voltage: 6V(2±7.4V)/12V(8V±14.5V)/24V(18V±29V)
- Operating temperature: -30°C to +50°C
- Protection class: IP 20
- Dimensions: 13.5x17x7cm
- Weight: 0.95 kg
Intelligent working modes:
- Constant voltage: Use constant voltage to charge the battery, check that the charging current is not too high and reduce it during the process.
- Constant current: Indicates that the battery voltage is lower than the set voltage of the charger, but the charger will maintain a constant battery charging current.
- Trickle charge modulation: When the battery voltage is close to the set voltage and the charging current is low to the set current, it will switch to floating charge modulation mode. This means that the battery is charged, but is constantly checked for voltage drop and automatically recharges with alternating current.
- Floating Charge Modulation: The mode will keep the battery fully charged.
Protective functions:
- Overheat protection: When the charger temperature exceeds 150°C, the charger will stop charging. When the temperature drops to 80°C or the charger turns off for about 10 minutes, the battery can be recharged after this time.
- Short circuit protection: When there is a short circuit, it will stop automatically. This is indicated by a long beep. Then plug it in firmly to restart automatic charging.
- Protection against reverse connection: If the terminals ( +/- ) are accidentally connected in reverse, the charger signals this with an intermittent long beep. Once the terminals are properly connected, it will charge.
Charging process:
- The charging process of the charger is based on a pulse charging system - charging for 5 seconds and then stopping charging for 1 second will cause most of the oxygen that was formed during charging to become electrolyte. This method not only reduces gas formation, but the charger can also repair a sulfated battery.
When the charge indicator shows 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, it shows the battery percentage:
- Blinking - if the battery capacity is too low, the charger will warn you that the voltage is too low by flashing on the display.
- Once the charger has repaired the battery, it will show the normal charge level again.
- Beep - when the battery is fully charged, a cyclical beep will sound every minute.
- When the charger is started, it switches to smart charging mode by default. Every time you charge, this product scans and tests the battery. The battery will appear on the battery test screen. After a while, the charger will go into mode ("repair", "maintenance" or "maintenance").
