It is compatible with industrial-grade cells (so-called ‘no high plus’).
Thanks to QC3.0 + PD3.0 (Power Delivery) technology and a maximum charging current of 2.0 A, combined with efficient 21700 Li-ION cells, the power bank can fully charge an iPhone 15/16 in 1.5 hours.
The charger is safe thanks to protection against reverse polarity, short circuits and overheating.
The compact and lightweight design is encased in a soft-touch (scratch-resistant) casing, and the port cover is fitted with magnets for quick battery replacement.
The charger has an HD display for monitoring power, voltage and current.

When used as a power bank:

Wide compatibility with devices from brands such as Apple, Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi
4.5A USB-C output (SCP)
Protects the environment by supporting rechargeable batteries
Manages battery charging and provides a power bank capacity of up to 7,000 mAh
Balanced charging and discharging technology ensures full battery capacity and further extends its lifespan
Conversion efficiency of up to 92 per cent
Portable power bank with magnetic closure, quickly charges all types of mobile phones and USB devices
Thanks to its compact size and charging functions, it is a practical device not only for travelling. It features a clear LED display showing the charge level, charging voltage and charging current (when used as a charger) or the battery discharge level, voltage and current (when used as a power bank).

When used as a battery charger:

Supports QC3.0 + PD3.0 charging technology
Maximum actual charging current of 2A with one or two cells
Can fully charge an iPhone 15/16 in 1.5 hours or 2 x 5000mAh 21700 batteries in 3 hours
Equipped with a 0V activation function to revive deeply discharged batteries
Three-stage TC/CC/CV charging maximises battery life
Multiple protection features

USB output features:

Supported charging technologies: QC3.0, QC4+, PD3.0, PPS, AFC
The USB output allows batteries and external devices to be charged simultaneously when the charger is connected to the mains
When the charger is used as a power bank, the display shows the discharge percentage of the battery(ies), voltage and current
The charger prioritises charging devices connected to the USB output. Once the USB charging process is complete, it begins charging its internal cells at full efficiency.
Charging via the USB port takes place directly from the charger’s connected power source, thereby bypassing the use of the internal cells and reducing wear and tear on them.

Technology used:

With selectable charging currents of 1.0 A and 2.0 A, you can control the charging speed and thereby extend the service life of the cells.
TC/CC/CV processor-based Li-ION cell charging method
Charging stops precisely at 4.2 V when the battery is fully charged
Each channel is independent, so 1 or 2 Li-ION cells can be charged simultaneously
Buffer technology protects the batteries during the charging process
Protection against overheating, short circuits and reverse battery insertion
Reactivation of deeply discharged batteries at 0 V
Rubberised casing surface
24-month warranty

The TC/CC/CV charging algorithm used in the charger is a Li-ion cell charging process that ensures the cells remain in good condition. It involves charging at an appropriate current and terminating the charge at the appropriate time. The TC/CC/CV charging phases can be divided into:

TC phase: the initial phase of monitoring and reactivation of a cell whose voltage has dropped below 2.9 V.
CC phase: the cell is then charged at a constant current of between 50 mA and 500 mA (depending on the connected power source).
CV phase: the charger then switches to trickle charging with a decreasing current until the cell voltage reaches 4.2 V. When the cell voltage reaches 4.2 V, charging is complete and the battery is fully charged.

Reactivating discharged cells involves inserting the cell into the charger and checking its voltage. This function allows you to check each cell of the appropriate size. If a discharged cell is detected, the charger will attempt to reactivate it. Please note that exceeding the minimum cell voltage will limit the ability to reactivate the cell and preserve the battery’s life. If a cell remains in the charger, it will discharge spontaneously. However, if the battery voltage drops below 3.9 V for Li-ION batteries, charging will start automatically.

An interesting and safe feature of the PB2SL V2 charger is its separately connected power supply. This prevents the battery cell from overheating unnecessarily. The cell temperature must not exceed 15 °C. During operation, it is the power supply itself that heats up, not the battery cell being charged. This has a direct impact on the battery’s service life.

Technical specifications:

Manufacturer: XTAR
Charger model: PB2SL V2
Supported battery types: 1–2 Li-ION batteries 3.6–3.7 V (length 65–78 mm)
Supported battery sizes: 18650/ 18700/ 20700/ 21700
USB-C input specifications: QC3.0 + PD3.0 (5V-3A/ 9V-2A)
Output specifications:
- USB-A: QC3.0 + PD3.0 (5V–3A / 9V–2A / 12V–1.5A)
- USB-C: PD3.0 and QC3.0 (5V-3A/9V-2A/12V-1.5A); SCP (5V-4.5A)
Other supported protocols: PPS / PD2.0 / QC4+ / QC2.0 / AFC / FCP / PE2.0 / PE1.1 / SFCP
Charging current: 2A×2 / 2A×1
Power connector: USB-C
Recommended power supply: 5V 3A (not included)
Charging current limit: ?270mA
Charging method: processor-controlled TC/CC/CV
Charge cut-off voltage: 4.2V ±0.05V
Additional functions: reactivation of deeply discharged cells
Protections: thermal, short-circuit, reverse battery insertion
Operating temperature range: 0–40°C
Dimensions: 125 x 58 x 28 mm
Gross weight: 162 g
